Introducing The Media & Religion Podcast

Over the past few months, the Center has been working on a new project to enact the public outreach we so often talk about. We value expanding public understandings of media, religion, and how they intersect. However, we do not believe such understandings come from academics lecturing at publics or that learning ends at the classroom door. In an attempt to activate a conversation with various publics about the intersection of religion and media we are launching a podcast.

This new podcast, called The Media & Religion Podcast, will be run by our graduate fellows as a platform for them to engage issues and topics they find to be relevant to our society. Through this show’s episodes, the Center’s fellows will attempt to initiate conversations with listeners on- and off-line. So please, do interact with us on social media about the episodes.

In the inaugural episode, Nabil Echchaibi, Nathan Schneider, and Ashley Campbell discuss public scholarship, the Center’s current projects, and hopes for the conversations the podcast will spark.

Episodes will be published at the end of each month. All episodes will be available on Sound Cloud, iTunes, Stitcher, and Google Play. These feeds are currently being set up. For now, we invite you to listen to the first episode of The Media & Religion Podcast below and on Sound Cloud.
